We were supposed to hit the road on Tuesday, but ran into a snag on Monday with our movers. Nobody could manage to get the sofa out! It came in; we didn’t grow it in a pot from a sofa seed, but still, nobody could figure it out. Well, on Tuesday, we managed to get the sofa out. It’s stunning what you can accomplish when you decide that getting your security deposit back isn’t so important.
Well, sorry about that, ceiling and wall! In any case, this set us back by a day, so now, Wednesday is Day 1 of the trip! We’re both in a bit of pain — it’s been a whirlwind couple days of cleaning and moving — but hopefully that will ease as we sit on our butts. The kitty is surprisingly fine with all of this so far. We’ll see how that lasts once she gets in the car… On Wednesday, we’ll hit the road. For real this time. And with any luck, we’ll use a camera of higher quality than these dang cellphones.
